Would like to return back to xfinity email from Yahoo email

@user_4ofi07  We are very sorry that you are not having a good experience with the Yahoo email. Once the switch has been made there is not a way to go back. 

The Switch was done with no announcement. The Switch was a forced action without asking for my consent. There was no procedure to allow xfinity/comcast customers to continue to use only xfinity email services if I did not switch to yahoo messenger. Now I get bombed constantly by yahoo messenger spam. And do not say well you can always move to another 3rd party email service or chance your browser, etc. I hope a new IP provider moves into my area that does not pull this bullying behavior.

You've never struck me as naive Terri, but to me "not the same as AI, but a specific application of AI" is a "distinction without a (significant) difference". It's a little like saying "this building is not brick, but a specific application of brick". I suppose you could say "chicken nuggets are not the same as chickens, but a specific application of chickens". That's true, they are not the same, but the nuggets are still chicken!

Copilot is Microsoft's offering of A.I.... just like

Outlook is Microsoft's offering of email.

Google has Gemini A.I....  just like 

Google has G-Mail email.

vickykay thank you for sharing your perspective on this change, I can certainly understand being a fan of the older design. Do you have any concerns with functionality?

They won't let that happen, here's why...once you change to Yahoo email you are given an ad blocker for free... for a short period of time...then it expires and you will be bombarded with dozens of email ads...unless you now pay $5 a month...we're [Edited: "Language"]...the change from Comcast to Yahoo was nothing more than a setup to get $5 a month from all the [Edited: "Language"] who thought they could "just try" the yahoo email...Comcast doesn't tell you there's no going back til after you made the switch...and yes it is a horrible email configuration. just [Edited: "Profanity"] horrible.

I don't like Yahoo and want to stay with Xfinity  !!!

You're keeping your comcast.net email address, but your emails will be on the yahoo email servers.

Email was never a line item on your bill - it was a freebie that Comcast provided, so no reduction to your bill.  Your comcast.net email will still work at Yahoo! Mail, but with the Yahoo servers instead.

It actually doesn’t work that way.  Hopefully someone will provide a complete, logical and technical answer to you.  In the meantime I can tell you this briefly.  The ONLY way to keep your Comcast email “address” is to stay with Yahoo.  Yahoo is your service provider like Comcast was.  Outlook is not an optional replacement for either.  It’s just an app that MS provides to access your email FROM your service provider, (no matter which one you use), instead of accessing your email directly from them.  People choose to use Outlook due to the extra features and benefits it provides. 

Excellent summary and sad but true!

I still dislike it..for the elderly it is difficult to delete the numerous emails!  and the gossip....not what I give a darn about when checking my emails!!!

...  If I wanted to migrate from Yahoo to Outlook, does anyone know a safe way to do that and would I still be able to keep the comcast.net email address?  

First off, "Outlook" is both an email program and app, and one name for Microsoft's email service "Outlook.com".

Users can't migrate a Comcast.net email address anywhere but Yahoo because this requires all sorts of behind-the-scenes shenanigans that only email system operators can do.

But users can certainly configure the Outlook program/app (just  about any reasonable email client actually) to fetch and send their Comcast.net-at-Yahoo email and avoid Yahoo's gosh-awful website.
