I’m getting triple & quadruple identical spams filling my inbox. What to do?

Hey @user_ctuq7t, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience regarding the Xfinity Email service. I would be more than happy to offer my assistance looking into this further for you.

We here at Comcast, take our responsibility to combat spam seriously and we constantly work to reduce the amount of unwanted and malicious emails that make their way to our customers' inboxes. We employ a number of technologies to reduce spam including:

-> Reputation Services
-> Automated Spam and Malware Filtering
-> Require Encrypted and Authenticated Ports to Send Email.

This helps ensure that Comcast email users have a safe and secure experience.

While we have lots of tools in place, you would also need to ensure that Spam Filtering is turned on. You can find steps on how to verify status by visiting our 'Set email filters or spam filters — Xfinity Email help' support page. We also have our 'Mark emails as spam — Xfinity Email help' support page I recommend viewing as well.

With everyone's help marking email as spam, it will only help make our filters stronger to combat the email coming in. We also have our Reporting Spam and Phishing Emails as well on the submission process to help our security team quickly and easily identify and suspicious email activity.

@XfinityDemitrius everything you've described absolutely does not ensure anything. Since the end of August, the amount of phishing spam I receive has ramped up to over 3000 a month. I have diligently reported everyone last one to both abuse @ comcast.com and missed-spam @ comcast.com, on top of that, I've also hit the Mark as spam and report phishing button. There has not been the slightest hint of reduction, it's actually increased.

My one method of last resort would be to change my email address from the one that I've had for 25+ years, but of course that is now impossible!

Comcast employees continue to trumpet how reporting this "stuff" ensures that it will be taken care of. When on earth is this going to become a reality?????

@plummerld

Oh hey.  I've posted about this today.  See these two detailed writing links.  I'm adding another email here!  missed-spam@comcast.net, never knew about that one.  And I've got another one for you to report to in the below writing links.

You're not the only person this is happening to but may have a more severe case of this.  3,000 a month is a lot.  I propose a theory why this may be happening to you in this below free writing post.  Your information is out there so much, and the scammers individually buy into these systems, which is why you're getting so many.  They're a disorganized group whom buy into the tech used to push these on an individual basis, and are clueless that a hundred other ameture scammers also bought the same hackware and your contact data.  That's one plausible theory at least.  Read up plummerld, hope this content and suggestion is helpful for you.  Leading to a logical conclusion why xfinity has not identified this hackware and done something about it yet.  Another poster theorized xfinity is purposefully allowing this to happen to devalue the email side and spin that off and sell that business section somewhere else, as it's not as profitable or easy to provide email services as it used to be.

You're not the only one this is happening to.  Xfinity needs to shift away from ESG DEI and get back to serving it's customer base equally and impartially.

I too have been getting multiple messages from similar email accounts, sometimes 2 messages up to 4 and then again. Have done what xfinity recommends, no help, also marked them as spam. No help.

It is time for xfinity to do something. This has been going on for several months.

I'm getting hundreds of spam daily and they are not going into my spam folder.  The amount of money I pay for Comcast, you'd think they would fix this problem.  On another note, I'm thinking of getting rid of Comcast
