How do I get the "mark as spam and report phishing" to actually block spam? I keep trying and everyday there are more and more spam emails

I check the Report Spam button but seem to just get more and more spam. I've worked on my settings. Has anyone found success with blocking unwanted email? Does the "mark as spam/report phishing" button do anything for anyone else?

The concern is not "Home Security / Rules And Automations" help related.............. Topic moved here to the proper help section for assistance.

user_n6z01y I would try clearing cache/cookies as doing a reset to what device you're using.

@XfinityShawn

This is not helpful.  His cache and cookies is not why he's getting monumental volumes of spam, and the rest of us are too.

It has been a full year since Xfinity email hack which affected 36 million customers was officially disclosed.

@XfinityShawn this makes my list of top ten worst suggestions! Browser cache and cookies do not control the phishing spams that Comcast has delivered to an Inbox! Try again with something useful.

My xfinity spam filter doesn't work any more. No matter how many times I click on "mark as spam and report phishing", with the correct spam filter turned on, the same old emails get into my inbox. Extremely tiresome, not to mention annoying verging on infuriating.

Somehow spammers have figured out a workaround.

So xfinity hear me now. Get after it! Defend your people! Do your [Edited: "Language"] duty to your customers!
