Hey @user_qvb3fc, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience regarding the Xfinity account and services. I would be more than happy to offer my assistance looking into this further for you.

My deepest condolences to you and your family for your recent loss. If your father had an active Xfinity account, we would not be able to restore or reactivate services. In order to obtain Xfinity services, you would need to create a new account under your name to be the account holder in order to have an active Xfinity account.

As a reminder, posting to our Xfinity Forums has guidelines and rules, so please refrain from sending a direct message without approval from an Official Employee. You can find more information by visiting our 'Getting Started in the Xfinity Help & Support Forum' post, 'Xfinity Forum Guidelines' post, and our 'Xfinity Forum Acceptable Use Policy' post.

Have you confirmed that there was an active Xfinity account, that Xfinity account has been closed, and was your father listed as the Primary Account Holder for that Xfinity account?

I haven't been able to confirm that yet - if there was an account he will have been the primary account holder. I have what I believe is the account number.

As well as being his son, I am also Dad's Personal Representative/Executor. Can I keep his internet access running under his estate without a new account? I also want his email account to keep working for at least another year to help us work through probate.

If an Xfinity account holder (often the Primary user) passes away, we’ll do all we can to help you through this difficult time. We’re sorry to hear of your loss.

You may close the account permanently or transfer ownership of the deceased’s account to yourself. You can start the process here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/account-management/bereavement

For additional information regarding this process including refunds, refer to: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/change-account-ownership

Please let us know if you have other questions. We are here to help.
