METV was working last night, but H&I and Story Channel are still without sound. I love Story, and the fact that Forged in Fire is now on Story on Fridays but you can't hear it. C'mon Xfinity, get it fixed!

This appears to be a MeTV issue in the Atlanta area. A number of cable providers, including Xfinity and Spectrum, have customers who are experiencing the no sound issue with MeTV since last night about 8 o'clock.

@XfinityBillie I called Weigel Broadcasting in Chicago (they own MeTV and H&I), they are aware of the situation in Atlanta, but, FIVE DAYS WITH NO SOUND is ridiculous. Call in freelance engineers and get it FIXED. Obviously, no one there knows what they’re doing.

@user_gkd5ww unfortunately that will not happen. I was without internet and TV for 65 hours through the month of June and no break on my $294 bill.
All cable companies are Qquick to charge and raise rates without blinking an eye, but god forbid they provide the monopolized service you are contracting them to provide.
To the Xfinity employees posting here - STOP! If you are communicating with your engineers who are "working on this" they would tell you this is a MeTV issue nationwide, not an Xfinity issue. All
providers are suffering through this right now.
if Xfinity wants to do something, they could overlay a message on the screen that MeTV is experiencing technical issues with their sound.
As of today, August 4th 2024, I am also experiencing no sound volume on MeTv channel through xfinity. This is an issue that needs to be resolved. I’ve been a loyal customer with xfinity for more than 24 years, and my monthly subscription runs upwards $180.00 a month. Do I complain, (no) but if I’m paying for a service, I expect great service not the run around. Xfinity you got to do better.

I have the same problem, I switched cable boxes, HDMI cables, and TVs. No sound in METV and HandI. Also went on Xfinity account and watched live TV for METV and HandI, still no sound. So I know the problem is not on my end.

We are in the Atlanta area & experiencing the same issue. We checked out cable equipment & that’s fine. Comcast seems to think it a network problem & maintenance is being done.

@Ricardb I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing a similar issue. What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? Did you try rebooting the TV box manually or through the Xfinity App? Checked/swapped the HDMI/Audio connections? Uninstalled or reinstalled the Xfinity Stream App?

Metv has been without sound since Frideay. I'm doing a staycation this week so I'm bummed without seeing my evening lineup. Perry, twilight zone, alfred etc...
user_3ocyp1 have you tried using the Xfinity stream app to watch meTV? This may be a good work around as suggested in the post. Test using the app and your cable box as we work to resolve the issue. Something else that comes to mind is check content on Video on Demand!

Good to know since I spent 40 minutes of my life with customer support who does not know about this issue. They did however schedule a tech to come to fix this at my house today. Probably a waste of time on my side and theirs.
@user_yy5pmk yes, I was back and forth for 3 hrs with customer service and have a tech scheduled. They obviously don’t know that it is not an xfinity problem😡
