MeTV and H&I no sound Atlanta

Both MeTV and H&I channel in Atlanta have no sound. Please fix this.

This is not an xfinity problem.  It has to do with the local station that carries the METV and H&I broadcasts.  I'm not sure about H&I but METV comes through a facility in Toccoa GA.  My guess is they know about it and probably are having problems fixing their audio equipment that must have broken down.  This same facility in Toccoa had picture problems several years ago and it took weeks or months to get it fixed.

@user_mdyfh7​ All you have to do is switch the sound track (SAP) from English to Spanish. You will hear English on the Spanish SAP channel. Go figure....

How long does it take to fix this?  It's been days now!  We should get a credit on our bill when a channel goes down more than 24 hours.

Xfinity... are you planning to issue a refund for the fact that we have not been able to utilize at least 3 of your channels for going on 6 days now?   I know you are passing the buck and claiming that it is not your network or systems causing the issue, but you are the one we pay.  The buck stops with you.   What is being done to fix this problem?  When should be expect a resolution?  The engineers must not be working very hard if they haven't fixed the problem in 6 days.  What sort of financial compensation should Xfinity customers expect?

Great post!  The buck DEFINITELY stops with them!  The fact that there has been absolutely NO communication from Xfinity to alert folks of the problem (regardless of who's at fault) and assure customers that they are working on a resolution is totally unacceptable.  Unfortunately, it doesn't even feel like they are taking the posts here seriously.  Not even any response taking responsibility for resolving the issue, just asking for more info or suggesting a weak work-around (without any promise of an actual fix).  Just when I thought Comcast/Xfinity was getting better at customer service, I was proven wrong once again!  What a [Edited: "Personal Information"] show!

This may take a while. The Decades Network ended on March 27th, 2023 to be rebranded as "Catchy Comedy," yet this WGTA Facebook page still displays the Decades logo in their banner photo. Mayberry in 1960's tv land is more up to date than WGTA. Also, their [Edited: "Invalid phone number"]
phone number which they published here in this Facebook page is disconnected. Time for a new affiliate! WUPA, the other Atlanta Me-TV (69.4) and Heroes & Icons (69.7 over the air) affiliate....both of which currently have sound over the air.

As of 1:00 PM on8/7/2024. MeTV does have audio working, however H&I(232) and Story (233) still have NO audio. Good news, but we need ALL of the channels working correctly - which we pay for.

Change the SAP to Spanish for METV and see it you get sound on METV.

user_clvusq Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfintiy Community Forums today. I am sorry that the sound is is not working for MeTV. We have a service interruption ticket submitted for this issue. The audio concern appears to be with WGTA the local affiliate that broadcasts H&I, and MeTV in your area. They have a pop-up banner announcement on their web page that references the sound concern as well. wgtatv.com

That is good news about MeTV (both 17 and 1023).  However, H&I still has the issue and on the equivalent "higher" channel, too (e.g., 1177).  Only, in my case, neither 232 or 1177 had ANYTHING showing just now (just an error)... perhaps they are working on those channels and we'll see some relief soon.  Not holding my breath, though.

I now have "normal" sound on MeTV. Have not checked the others, but MeTV works.

Good morning, Everyone, 

I'm just checking to see if anyone has heard when H & I and/or Story Channels will have volume again.

I finally did get volume on Channel 17 as of yesterday.  So, if anyone knows anything please let me know,

as very much appreciated.  What an inconvenience this has been and yes, I'll too be going after some time

of credit for the prices, we are paying for this service.  Have a great day everyone.  I hope Xfinity is taking this on

board how unhappy we all are and are working on this problem.

As of August 8, 2024 7:19 AM, I still have NO audio on H&I (232) and Story (233). Xfinity might want to look into getting these channels from another affiliate. Clearly, the one they are using is incompetent. Please put pressure on the affiliate, telling them to fix it now or they are gone. Xfinity is a big company and has alot of influence.

It is now August 8th and still the sound for H&I and story channels are mute. 
Movie and meTV have sound, at least for now, or until the the others are “fixed”.

As of 8/8/2024 5:21pm, H&I now has audio. However, Story (233) still has no audio. One more to fix!

Did a little checking on this. Users have indicated problem was network based. As problem didn’t appear to be an Infinity issue, someone IDed the network for Me TV and H&I. Don know about Story TV or the other channel with this issue.

Story Television (233) has a website:  https://storytelevision.com/  However, I tried to send them an email through their "contact us" page and I was unable to type at all in the pop up form on that webpage. They have a Facebook page, but I'm not on Facebook anymore. You could try to contact them there. Their website says they are on Comcast and on Spectrum cable channels in Georgia, so maybe both are affected by the "no audio" issue?

So is Story (233) never going to have the sound restored? It's not my favorite, but I still pay for it and it should have sound. Just take it off, if you aren't going to fix it, and give us a credit until you can get another fully functioning channel. This is ridiculous.
