sound dropouts on NBC Chicago

Channel 188 random short sound drops randomly for at least a week..anyone else notice this?

This has been going on for me too. It's been at least a week. Very annoying! I'm in Lowell.

I’m in Chicago and it’s been happening here for a couple of weeks every couple of minutes the sound drops! It’s annoying

Here in Lake County Illinois watched 188 (National News) for the first time since the actor's strike.

Sound dropped out 5 times in the first 10 minutes of the news. How many posts does it take for someone at Xfinity to contact the head

end for this area and fix the problem?

Same thing happening here in McHenry in McHenry County. It’s been going on for quite some time now, some days worse than others. Very annoying, forces me to change the channel as it is only happening on channel 188 (NBC Chicago).

I have the same problem in Evanston. It's not fair that you're asking us to troubleshoot a broadcast issue. Look at how many people have the same problem and their locations. Just fix it and stop the level 1 tech run around.

Having the same issue for at least a couple weeks in Tinley Park. Only on channel 188,  keeps dropping out for 5-10 seconds. Happens frequently, primarily on news programming.

We are experiencing the same problem with channel 188.  We are in Orland Park.  The closed captioning also breaks up.   I think channel 5 the non-HD NBC is working.

@user_zqy5yu there was a know issue for NBC Chicago that was resolved yesterday evening, have you retested this network since then to help confirm if you are still experiencing the same issue? Things should be working without issue now!

Same problem here in Lake Co, IL.  If it’s a broadcast issue, it’s a Comcast issue. If it’s not a broadcast issue, it’s still a Comcast issue. Yes, we all did normal troubleshooting to fix the problem. Now move on to next steps please.

Hey xfinity, how many customers complaining will it take for you acknowledge the issue? Just adding another comment stating there’s a problem with Channel 5 NBC.

Same issue here.  Channel 188 only.  Chicago Edgewater. Has been happening for 3-4 days.  I have a DVR.

Same area and same issue. Has been happening for 2+ weeks, have tried all the troubleshooting advice that is the only guidance provided so far.

How long until Xfinity actually does anything when so many people have this issue? This is the only channel with this problem and it seems to be pretty widespread

Can you please test your service and let me know if you are still running into the same issue?
