Oscar start time wrong

We missed the Oscars this year because the DVR didn't start on time because the guide was wrong. It shows it starting at 8:00 pm, but it started at 4:00. Is it just our X1 that is wrong or did others also have the wrong time?

Hey there, ProfessorHawk, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding the issue with your Oscar recording. Have you noticed any other issues with the guide times being wrong with ABC or any other channels?

No just the Oscars. American Idol was at the 8:00 pm time slot and got recorded. No Oscars.

ProfessorHawk, Thank you for letting us know. We always appreciate feedback. Even if it didn't record, you can still catch it On Demand. If you have the voice remote, just say "The Oscars", and it should pull it up. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you continue to have issues with your recordings. We can run through a few things if needed.

I assume you live in the Pacific time zone, as that is the only place where it started at 4:00.
ABC's Oscars schedule press release shows that it would be repeated at 8:00 Pacific, and my guide had this repeat as well. I assume that this is the broadcast that you told your DVR to record.

However, the Oscars, which were supposed to end at 7:30, ran until 7:45. The American Idol show was scheduled to be 30 minutes, so I am assuming that it ended at 8:15, which is when the repeat of the Oscars would have started.

Do you still have the recording, and if you do, what was on after American Idol (which only ran for 30 minutes)?

You are correct, the Oscars did start after Fast Forwarding through American Idol. Unfortunatly, even though I chose to end 30 minutes after the end time, due to the DVR starting at 8:00 and the awards running long we missed the last 45 minutes, but were able to catch it online. Comcast really screwed it up this year.
