NFL network

DId Xfinity drop the NFL Network or are there talks still going on?  If still negotiating, when will service be restored.  If NFL network and NFL Redzone aren't back on in the near future, we're going to have to find another provider for our current services costing $316/month.  My spouse lives for football and this is 100% unacceptable.

@user_9t9izn Thanks for reaching out about NFL programming. The agreement to carry NFL Network expired, so it's no longer available with Xfinity. This includes NFL RedZone and any related Xfinity Stream and On Demand programming.
Please know Comcast pays programmers to bring you the entertainment you love, and so far, Disney/ESPN has not proposed a deal that Comcast believes is fair for its customers. Comcast continues to work toward bringing back this programming, but only with fair pricing, terms, and conditions for its customers.  Will I get any kind of credit/discount, or will the cost of my bill decrease because of this?
Not at this time. If a new agreement with Disney/ESPN, the owners of NFL Network and NFL RedZone, isn’t reached, the impact on current or future charges will be evaluated.

I am paying $450.00 a month for this service. My best day is Sunday afternoon watching NFL red zone. Looking at Direct tv.

If Xfinity can't resolve this NFL Network contract a resume the programming by end if May that will have been 2 months alotted to get it fixed I will be ending all cable services for alternative services that offer the NFL Network. We as consumers dont care about the cost we want the service we expected it's not like your going to go broke getting our service to the NFL Network restored all you are doing is inconveniencing us as the consumer which is not smart business I will be moving on from xfinity cable service if NFL Network isnt restored by end of May

Hello, @user_uu6uec I totally get your frustration. I'm a huge fan of NFL Redzone. I hope that in the future an agreement will be made and Comcast can provide the programming we all love. In the meantime, 

NFL coverage is available on FS1 (Fox Sports 1) with The Herd with Colin Cowherd, and with shows like Sports Center on ESPN or ESPN2. Xfinity TV customers who have ESPN as part of their TV package have access to the ESPN Unlimited tier of the ESPN app as part of their service (activation may be required).

 

In addition, Comcast offers a range of similar, alternative content.

  • Free streaming services, like Xumo Play, Pluto TV, and others, offer a wide variety of sports and entertainment programming.
  • Paid subscription streaming services, like Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, offer TV shows, sports, movies, documentaries, original content, and more.
  • For specific programs or channels, you can use My Channel Lineup.
  • You can also use your Xfinity Voice Remote to find alternative viewing options. Just say the name of a program or something like “entertainment” or “football” into it.

Hi there @user_k13bjd Thank you so much for reaching out on our Xfinity Community Forum about NFL Network and NFL Redzone.  As of April 30, 2026, NFL Network and NFL RedZone are no longer available through Comcast's Xfinity service due to the expiration of their agreement with Disney/ESPN, which has not proposed a fair deal for Comcast customers. Consequently, all related programming, including Xfinity Stream and On Demand content, is also unavailable. Customers can still watch previously recorded content on their DVR, but new recordings of NFL programming cannot be made until the channels are restored. Alternative sports programming can be accessed through other networks like FS1 and ESPN, as well as various streaming services.  Please click the link below for more info.

Xfinity certainly blew off the question about being refunded for channels that your paying for and not receiving. Comcast had the option to leave the channel on while they negotiated however in typical Comcast fashion they would rather [Edited: "Language"] their customers while they continue to make record profits from your ridiculously priced cable bills.

As a consumer, who can I contact at Xfinity or Disney and let them know how upsetting this is to me and hundreds of other viewers who do not have access to NFL Network. I don’t want to watch ESPN or other channels, I want NFL Network. What can the consumer do so the networks know how upset we are

I will hold out until the NFL season starts. But if no resolution by then, I'll look to move from xfinity. I've wanted to leave them for years but just too lazy.
