Good morning, @user_1db10a, and thank you for reaching out about the MSG channel today! I'm sorry to see that you have been impacted by a recent change in our channel lineup.

Comcast’s agreements with programmers expire from time to time. We had been negotiating with MSG Networks to reach a fair deal that made sense for our customers before the current one expired, allowing us to continue offering MSG and MSG+ on our channel lineup, but were not able to come to an agreement.

We pay networks, local TV station owners and others for the ability to deliver their programming to our customers. The fees vary based on factors such as the type of content, the popularity of the network, and the demand for its content, among others.

Rising programming costs, notably broadcast TV, and sports carriage costs we incur but do not fully recover, continue to be the biggest factor driving price increases. While we absorb some of these costs, these fee increases affect pricing for customers. We work hard to limit the impact of this on our customers’ bills and are committed to providing the best programming at the best possible value. Since we were not able to reach a new agreement with MSG, we will reduce the RSN Fee in the applicable areas.

Nationally televised Ranger, Islander and Devils games will be available on TBS and ESPN. Nationally televised Knicks games will be on ESPN and TNT. MSG/MSG+ are available on Fubo. Please check your local listings for games that may be airing in your area.

Any updates on resolving this issue? Paying subscribers who are invested in their sports teams deserve what they want!  We pay through the roof already!  TBS and ESPN will not be airing every game, and we are blacked out from subscription services!

Enough is enough

I keep cable only to be able to watch my local sports.

No MSG and I cut the cord.

I want MSG back!! Sorry Comcast. You have about 2 weeks to solve this problem or a move to Vios or Fubo is coming.

I'm turned upside down and shaken for every penny of my bill every month. This is inexcusable. From putting channels I originally signed up for into higher-tier packages I refuse to pay for (i.e., "bait-and-switch") to this nonsense now with their crying victim instead of doing what they need to do to keep channels WE PAY FOR every month, this is the excuse I have been looking for to cut the cord. Enough is enough. If this nonsense is not resolved before the start of the hockey season I am done.

Are you kidding me, there are many channels that could be cut to save MSG's line up. I see duplicate shows on different channels, Channels I never watch and probably others too.

Let's see your viewership attendance for all your channels and cut the bottom tail off so you can direct that money to MSG's lineup.

Hi there @user_379963.  As a Hockey fan I can fully understand your frustration with this. In short, an agreement was not reached with the network that would keep costs for the consumer low.
