Well, FreeTV is working for us now; however, the one movie that lured us into this Free week, was Christmas Story Christmas, which is still listed in various locations in XFinity menus as free (like attached picture just taken) where it says at top, "All free movies to watch this week", and right in the info for the selected listing, it says "Christmas Story Christmas - Free (2022)".  Yet, selecting it is still prompting for signing in and not allowing us to view it without paying for HBOMax service. >_<

Again we apologize that you continue to experience issues watching Christmas Story Christmas. Can you please answer the following questions? When choosing to play, do you see the “Play Free to Me”? Is this issue happening on all television boxes or just one? Are you having issues with any other HBO content?

We look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you in advance for your responses.

It doesn't have the "Play Free To Me" option, but does show up listed (as seen in image) as a free movie on every box/TV (2 of them) in the house.  Since the seeming fix, haven't noticed issues with other free content (yet).

Wanted to update, and let XFinity know, there's probably a glitch/mislisting in the FreeTV section.  Was looking closer at where Christmas Story Christmas was listed, and noticed the "show more" has 20,800 showing as a total, and highly doubtful the intent was to have that many free, yet, each listing says "FREE" under it, while there are many that don't have the "play free to me" option.

If you click on the FreeTV menu-logo, scroll way down to the "All Free Movies to watch this week" section, and click "View All", there's just under 21K movies in there saying "FREE" in the info just below their thumbnail

As for us, we ended up getting a 3-month/$1.99 HBOMax deal and watching Christmas Story Christmas that way.

I continue to struggle with accessing  Free TV Week on my X1 platform. I am receiving a message directing me to call customer service. They have tried several times to correct the issue to no avail. What do you recommend?

We apologize you are experiencing issues watching Free TV Week content. Can you please answer the following questions? Are you attempting to watch Free TV Week content via the Free TV Week tile? What is the model number for you X1 device? Is your issue happening on all of your television boxes or just the one?

Answers to these questions will help us to better identify and resolve your issue. We look forward to hearing back from you.

Additionally, we ask that you please refrain from authoring multiple posts on the same topic. Duplicate posting creates slowness in responses by employees and can create confusion for other users attempting to assist you. Also having trouble with supposed Free TV.
Upon selecting “Free TV week” tile from main menu, I then scrolled down to “Free tv dramas to watch this week”. Selected View all and was hoping to watch Interview with the Vampire. Selected that tile, says there’s 1 season available but when selecting “watch now”, it says to watch on either Prime Video or AMC+.
Neither offer it for free unless I sign up for a free 7 day trial. Selecting AMC+ option only gives me the option to sign up for an 8.99 subscription.

Pretty lame to advertise this as an available option to watch when it’s really not.

Why were the AMC+ movies removed from free week? Only some of the series were left. Literally everything I added before it started were movies from AMC+. Now that they’ve been excluded there’s nothing in my list that’s available to play.

Thank you for posting your Free TV Week question here in our Xfinity Forum. The full On Demand offering of HBO Max is available to all Xfinity customers during Free TV Week 2022. You will have to navigate to the content via the Free TV Week tile in the On Demand section of your guide. From there you can choose the full offering from HBO Max via the "network" section.

The free movies on Starz will not play with my cable box. It says subscription required but will play on the Xfinity Stream app on my phone. Really frustrating and disappointing. Come on Comcast Xfinity make it available on all services not just streaming.

Welcome to the Xfinity Forum and thank you for posting your question here. When attempting to watch Starz content are you doing so through the Free TV Week tile in the On Demand section of your guide? This is the only way that any Free TV Week Starz content will play absolutely free without the need to sign in further.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

NOTE: Posting this also standalone as this is something XFinity NEEDS to see...

We are also having a problem with Free TV.  We are trying to watch Avenue5 on HBO, but S2E2, alone among all the episodes, is not free.  What gives?

Thank you for posting your question here in the Xfinity Forum. We attempted to make all programming available for Free TV Week. I am happy to report your concern, but there may be a chance that due to licensing agreements, this may not be available for free. Thank you for sharing. If this is a mistake, this will be remedied automatically.

When I'm using the Flex TV Streaming Box most of the HBO series first episodes aren't free but the rest of the episodes are free. The first episodes all do play for free when using the Xfinity Stream website or the mobile app.

Thank you for posting your Free TV Week questions here in our Xfinity Forum. When attempting to access HBO content are you navigating to that content via the Free TV Week tile in the On Demand section of your guide. This would be the only way to access all Free TV Week content. If you are accessing content that way, can you please share specific titles that you are experiencing this issue with.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Why are the movies on HBO Max limited during "Free TV Week"?  And why is this not advertised?

@user_ajb

Welcome to the Xfinity Forum and thank you for posting your question here. We have made the full HBO On Demand library for free during Free TV Week. If you are not seeing it on the list then there is a chance that the particular movie you are attempting to watch is simply not available On Demand. If there is a specific movie you are looking for, we can check it's availability for you.

As for advertising, we posted about Free TV Week here in our Xfinity Forum approximately 4 days before the event began. You will notice some of our marketing articles/videos below and their publish date sharing information about this event. We also sent out email alerts to customers (ensure you are opted-in to marketing communications from us in My Account) and added the Free TV Week tiles to the Xfinity guides last week to prepare customers.

When you go to Movies on any streaming platform, there is one section listing movies under Free Movies; you select a movie and the Play button is available to play the movie.

When you go to the Free Premium Movies (without ads) section and try to click on ANY movie, the play button is not available, but you see different charges for the movies listed in that FREE section; this has been going on for days.

PLEASE CORRECT!!
