Fox Sports 2

As a NASCAR fan, I was afraid that I would not be able to see the same racing events that I used to see on Speed when they rebranded the channel this past weekend.  I was just proven correct.  I now won't be able to see the Whelan Modified race that is airing on FoxSports 2 from Bristol tonight as Comcast doesn't have Fox Sports 2 in the channel lineup.  I was able to watch it last year when it was on Speed.

I strongly encourage Comcast to rectify this situation and add Fox Sports 2 to the lineup.  If I can't watch the things I want to watch because the channel isn't available, then I'm going to look for a cable provider who can provide it.

All alternative TV providers in my area offer fox sports 2. Fox is offering exclusive content including major soccer matches (the only reason I actually pay for cable).

Not a single comcast moderator made a single comment on this 8 months old, 12 page long forum. A monopoly such as comcast that owns a competitor of fox sports (NBC sports) wants to play a pi$$ing match with Fox, and we suffer.

I urge all to call your congressman and express anger at the growing monopoly of comcast now buying Time Warner.

Agree.

We are missing major UEFA Champion's league games that fox is not broadcasting on any other channel but fox sports 2.

Please correct ASAP

I pay extra for Fox college sports and I can't get FS2? I tell my sports buddies that Comcast is best for sports. I feel like a liar when FS2 is not included.

I'm told that the latest Consumers Report has some interesting ratings on cable providers?

You didn't look very far - there are comments from ComcastTed on the previous page.

Comcast Teds? Meh.... although this person has answered a few questions, he/she really hasn't answered anything of substance. ComcastTeds appearances on this forum have really done little to allay the anger and frustration being expressed on this forum. If the purpose is to inform the customers, Comcast Teds really hasn't been effective, has gone strangely silent as of late, and were he/she my employee, wouldnt be. As has been said before, this forum is eight months old now, and gets new entries on a fairly regular basis. It should be an embarrassment to COMCAST/XFINITY. I personally have given up trying, since COMCAST will not listen to it's customers. I've found ways to get the programming I want to see (in many ways, better than what COMCAST provides) at very little additional cost. As for the rest of what FOX SPORTS 2 provides, I can't be bothered any more.

There is not much new to say. The situation remains as it is. I appreciate and understand your passion and your desire for Fox Sports 2.

At the risk of repeating, below is for others who may have missed some previous posts.....

We certainly realize that anything short of a post that says "Comcast is adding Fox Sports 2 in all areas on this date and your monthly cable bill won't go up" will not be a satisfactory answer for most.

Unfortunately, we don't have an expected date for an announcement for the Fox Sports 2 in additional Comcast areas.

I do know that our programming teams meet regularly with Fox on this and other topics. The conversations are ongoing.

Any possible addition of any new network would also most likely incur additional costs to Comcast that would be passed along to our customers. As mentioned above, those additional costs are one of the factors in considering adding any new network.

Generally, new networks want to be added to a very widely distributed level of service for the potential of the most eyeballs (ratings) and advertising revenue. That means that the costs are then spread across all of our customers who receive this channel, not just to those who want to pay individually for that specific service or a Sports Package.

The Comcast employees who participate in these forums certainly pass along any collective feedback, interests and concerns to our programming teams.

@ComcastTeds: I said I can't be bothered any more, but I just had to read what you posted. You never mention numbers. How much would our cable bills go up if you just added this one channel? Scaring people away with talk of rate increases is one way to keep us in line, but throughout this forum, very few people have mentioned anything about money. It is you that keeps bringing up Adding Channel=Bill goes up. Ok, how many subscribers does Comcast have? You say the cost will be spread over all the customers, not just the sports package customers. That would make the increase much less. So, how about numbers? Let these frustrated, angry customers know just how much it will cost them if they get what they want. Give us information that we can use to evaluate our situation, rather than using general terms to scare us. Like I posted before, I've found ways to obtain the programing I want without waiting for FOX SPORTS 2, but I'm sure many others of the disappointed people on this forum would like to know. Something else to consider is the number of people who would gladly watch FOX SPORTS 2 if they had it, but are not aware of the programming available. It was like that for Universal Sports (before you took that away). I came across it and began watching it. So there are people out there that don't even know they want FOX SPORTS 2, but will appreciate having it.

Ted, I think maybe we should clear the air here? Is it not correct that Comcast does have some markets that FS2 is in the line up? So given that, you state that Comcast has to pay FS2 for each subscriber? Just the subscribers in that market? How many of these markets are covered by a prior contract & does Comcast plan on renewing these contracts or to cut the current subscribers access to FS2 when the current contract ends? IF FS2 is going to be cut, are the subscribers aware of these plans?

You, Comcast, have pretty much the worst rating (according to Consumers Report) & your major competition (Verizon Fios) puts a spanking on Comcast. Comcast is loosing market share & still cannot see the forest for those big ole trees in their way! Fios has a better quality product and the only thing that is keeping them from spanking Comcast real hard, is the ability to increase the infrastructure.

I've stated here before that Comcast has not laid out one red penny for Time Warner, as it's a purely stock transfer purchase and not cash! Isn't it amazing that a small provider like WOW is at the top of the list! It's all about customer service, but for Comcast it's "customer no service"! Very similar to your call centers favorite saying "Turn and Burn"!

Let me see if I have this straight. Nothing is going to change, and ComcastTeds give us a pat on the head and sent us away. Anything that changes may result in a price increase. Gee, do you treat all of us customers the same way?  Who did Comcast pay off to buy Time-Warner? If you own all the cable providers, then there will be no competition. You can tell us what we can and can not watch, right? Business is business, and this business model is not working.

Oh, I did get a new network last week, El Rey. Wow, how much did this cost? Obviously, not much. Have you really watched this channel? Come on Ted, tell us the truth. Your eyeballs must have been closed.

The only way this situation will change is when Comcast gives in to customer pressure. If it cost so much, put it into a package and see if we will buy it, that would be a solution to this problem.

Some of us will leave quietly, some will go for satellite service, FiOs or UVerse. Now,  channel line up will be the same across the board. Very socialist don't you think?. So, the comments will continue until the channel lineup improves, that is all.

Yes, Comcast Teds, If your are providing it to some of your customers, by your logic, we are already paying for it. So give the customers what they want. All your arguments are just an attempt to make us go away. GIVE THE CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY WANT.

Just got an e-mail yesterday that COMCAST just added "The Outdoor Channel" to our line-up. I do like that channel and am happy to have it. Just curious how it got added since there was no move afoot (FS2) to have it added?

As I've stated previously, the way look at it, when SPEED went away, 1/2 the programming went to Fox Sports 1 and the other 1/2 went to Fox Sports 2. We are now getting 1/2 of what we paid for but paying the same price.

Well, Mike, If what ComcastTeds says is true, then we are already paying for FOX SPORTS 2, since they are providing it to SOME of their customers, and he says that by providing FS2, the cost is spread over all the customers. How do you like that one?

I've been a Comcast subscriber for over 10 years. I am also a fan of soccer. Before the creation of Fox Sports 1 and 2 I was able to watch both UEFA and CONCACAF Champions league matches either on Fox Soccer, FX, or the local Fox affiliate. Now I'm only able to watch half of the UEFA CL matches and none of the CONCACAF CL matches (unless you count the matches shown on local Spanish channels).

I pay $10/month for the sports package, why doesn't it include Fox Sports 2? Also, when will Comcast broadcast BeIN sport in HD?

If Comcast is planning on adding Fox Sports 2 why not give us access to it via Fox Sports Go? I just checked and that channel is greyed out when I login with my Comcast account.
