Basic cable tv only cost?

Looking to have JUST the xfinity local tv package. All local channels and few others. Also, have the cloud DVR service along with it as well.

Long story why, but I need access to the cable access channels and xfinity is the ONLY option for this.

any idea how much this might be for my area (zip = 30041)

Also, I have cable cards in 2 TiVos and all works good. Since I have been a customer for years, dropping internet and keeping just the local basic tv channels, my cable cards should continue to work, right?

Hi there, @mcf57! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. As was mentioned, you can indeed check local rates at : https://www.xfinity.com/support/rate-card If you log in with your primary XFINITY ID. You can also head over to: https://www.xfinity.com/planbuilder , where you can browse and compare plans and options, and even change over right online! As far as cable cards, they are still supported but that support is very limited since October 2024. We do not provide or stock them anymore. They should still work if you change plans though.

They "should", and if Comcast/Xfinity was a competent company with even a tiny bit of compassion, they would. But there have been many posts to the Forum like https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/customer-service/lost-all-tv-service-after-upgrading-my-internet-plan/686e56557a19e61f5ca20529. Perhaps the company will be able to restore that poster's CableCard Tivo service, and perhaps not.

If I valued my CableCard Tivos (and I do!), I would not chance it. If you do give it a try, please let us know how it all works out.

ETA: It looks like "not". The employee in that thread wrote a reply to its OP "happy to hear you now have our X1 TV system", so it appears that the OP's Tivo service was lost.
