I've been a Comcast/Xfinity customer for 30 years. They have always been a aggravating company to deal with. If they don't start showing Bally Sports soon, I will be done with Xfinity.
I am about two days away from cancelling. Will cancel cable and internet just because they lost Bally's. They blame it on Diamond Sports group but, if they wanted to, they could make a deal.
I'll give Comcast a week to get baseball back on, and then it is off to another service. This is simply ridiculous. The only sport I regularly try to follow is Braves baseball. Bally is one of perhaps a half-dozen channels that we even care about.
Great sports programming, including NBA, NHL, and MLB national coverage, is still available with Xfinity, user_1bskzm. Just say “Sports” into your Xfinity Voice Remote to explore your options. You can also press “C” on your Xfinity Voice Remote to go to Sports Zone and see available sports content. Nationally televised games will continue to be carried by TBS, FOX, CBS, FS1, MAX, ESPN and Apple TV. Check your local listings for upcoming games or contests.

Hello @user_d4o4r5, Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum. Comcast pays programmers to bring our customers the entertainment, information, and sports they want. We work to negotiate fair terms in order to ensure the greatest value for our customers given all the ways content can be accessed today. Unfortunately, our programming agreement with DSG has expired. We have made a number of reasonable offers that DSG hasn't accepted. We’ve been flexible with DSG, who is in bankruptcy proceedings, but have been unable to reach an agreement that’s fair for our customers. This means we no longer have the rights to carry their channels, including your local Bally Sports network. The loss of this channel will result in savings that we’ll pass along to you, and you’ll see an automatic credit in your bill in the coming weeks.
I'm also extremely disappointed and will be canceling my service as soon as I can. I've been a long-time customer (30 years) and have experienced numerous price increases and changes to service, but this is the worst especially since we were given no notice. At a minimum, I don't understand why they couldn't get an extension for a couple months which would have provided viewing of baseball through this season as well as provide customers time to find alternative viewing options. And the credit Comcast mentions better fully cover the cost we've been paying (Bally cost + regional sports fee). Regardless of the issues with contracts, negotiations, etc., they said they had, I don't believe Comcast considered the impact to their customers, so I won't be one much longer.

I miss watching the Detroit Tigers! Please Xfinity, get Bally Sports back! I have been a customer for well over 20 years and I have stuck with you through thick and thin… I know there are so many more like me out there. Don’t you feel any kind of loyalty to your customers?
@user_g97svo - the problem is, the answer to your question may very well be, "Yes - especially the majority of customers, who never watch Bally Sports and don't want to have to pay extra just to defray the costs for those who do." Remember, Xfinity has to pay for every house that gets the channel on their plan, whether they watch it or not.
Between you, me, and everybody else reading this? I don't expect Xfinity to cave in, but I do expect Bally's to eventually go bankrupt as a result; the question is, who would get the channels, and would Xfinity treat them the way it treats, say, Altitude Sports or MSG, in which case, if watching the (choose one or more of: Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings) is that important to you, you might want to start looking for an alternative to Xfinity sooner rather than later.
Hello user_g97svo, I totally get where you're coming from, I'm a huge Arizona sports fan. Unfortunately, our programming agreement with DSG has expired. We have made a number of reasonable offers that DSG hasn't accepted. The loss of this channel will result in savings that we’ll pass along to you, and you’ll see an automatic credit in your bill in the coming weeks. Customer loyalty and tenure always means a ton to us, so thank you for making us part of your home the last 20+ years.

I'm taking advantage of the other TV provider's free trials. Kind of like interviews. I have it narrowed down but will definitely be leaving the TV service here.
Xfinity knew how customers would feel when canceling Bally. I already get charged so much and so many "fees". I feel like a corporation of this magnitude could make it work.
Use whatever slogan you want, write however many letters you want...let me see you do what you claim you want to.
We have been with Comcast for 40 years and they are very hard to deal with and bill always going up. We now have TV, Internet(which is slow) and phone service with ComCast. If other providers were able to come to an agreement with Bally, then why couldn't ComCast? We are going to give them about another week and if we don't get Bally back, we will definitely be pulling all our services and going elsewhere. Very unhappy customer!

I agree! I signed up with Comcast 7 years ago to be able to watch the Rays games.

How come Frontier Cable in Tampa had no problem keeping Bally on the air without any price changes.

Just received my bill and there is NO CREDIT for loss of Bally Sports. My bill is outrageous enough for the few channels we watch.
