ACC Streaming network (ACCNX) via ESPN apps

When are the Xfinity credentials going to allow for access to the ACCNX channel via the ESPN apps?  Can now see the ACC network via cable boxes, but the ESPN apps are still saying it isn't available / not subscribed.

Just spent the past hour+ chatting with tech support.  They did not know of this issue and at times did not understand it.  I was told more than once that Xfinity does not carry ACCN (??)

I'm not sure if the issue is with Xfinity or with the app.  Perhaps not all Xfinity markets have been updated with ACCN?  Anyway, I waas told I would be called by someone to fix the issue.

@jb1907, @user_2a0664, @lissa66, user_4b7be4, @user_a8a840, user_7627eb. I appreciate everybody letting us know of your issue. Here is the official details we have at this time.

For states that don’t have any ACC schools (including the Washington, D.C. area), the ACC Network will be available as part of the Digital Preferred, Preferred+ and Ultimate TV levels of service.

In states that have one or more ACC school, the ACC Network will be available on Digital Starter, Expanded Basic, Popular TV, Sports & News and Xfinity Latino Starter levels of service.

Central Division ACC states: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky and South Carolina.

Northeast Division ACC states: Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

West Division: No ACC states.

The Xfinity Stream app mobile and beta will play ACC Network if you are subscribed to the correct package. My reference states ACC only is available through the ACC's website—https://comca.st/3pl7dOb—as well as on official university athletic sites and sports sites such as https://comca.st/3eebdK1, https://comca.st/3ElxHmT and https://comca.st/3EkdAFK. No mention of the app which if I am going by that it is not available. Anybody who has problems accessing sites or our stream app needs to speak with any agent to troubleshoot and if we can't resolve then we will need to put in a ticket. The more tickets we get the faster it will get resolved if it is a wider issues. For anybody needing to do that, please direct message your name and address and paste the link to your post in the chat. We can also check your plan or change it if needed. I am going to find out more about the sites access and 3rd party apps and report back here. Thanks!

3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)

4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!

I find this very confusing.  Not sure how this addresses access to ACCN and ACCNX via ESPN app?

I finally get ACC Network on my TV, but not in the ESPN app. I watch women’s basketball and have been waiting patiently to watch ACC teams prior to the Final Four and the app says

playback could not be started

ACC and ACCN are currently not available with your TV provider. Etc …

Hello, @user_4b7be4 . Thanks for reaching out about needing help with streaming the ACC network on the ESPN app. For future reference, it is better to submit your own post as it creates a ticket to get help, and sometimes posting on an old thread can delay getting help.

Please send me a private message with your first and last name as well as your full service address by using the Peer to Peer direct message icon is located at the top right of the page. When i try and access the acc network on the espn app it comes up with the error message, ACC Network and Acc Network Xtra are currently not available with your tv provider, which btw they certainly are. I texted a rep that told me there was a signal leakage issue which is causing the interruption which is now being fixed and it would be working fine in the next couple of hours. Its been almost 13 hours since he told me that. Still nothing fixed.  I don't think they know what is going on, they haven't a clue. Frustrated acc fan and Diehard TARHEEL. Still trying to recover from the debacle of the beatdown they suffered at the hands of kentucky. Wear Carolina Blue uniforms next time. Sheesh.

@user_a8a840 :  Pretty much the same message from the FireTV ESPN app I am getting.

'Signal leakage' terminology is suspect...more like: "I have no idea why it not working and when if/when it will be fixed.  Leave me alone."

My nephew's girlfriend is on one of the ACC women's basketball teams and probably 80% of their conference games are only on the ACCNX streaming channels.

The problem is not with ACCN it is with getting ACCNX via ESPN app.

I am in Knoxville area and can't stream acc or accnx on my computer with the ESPN app. It asks for cable provider (xfininy) and brings up a screen with a forward arrow to click but nothing else happens. Other streams (ie sec network, espn, espn2, espnu) start streaming right away.

@user_7627eb : At least on web browsers and ESPN.com from what I've seen, the authentication issue acts like you describe...instead of starting the stream playing, the page just sits there doing nothing.

In actual ESPN apps (running on mobile phones, devices like FireTVs/Roku's, Cable boxes, etc.) give an actual message as noted earlier in this thread.

I heard back from Comcast last night.  I was told that I needed to also subscribe to Xfinity Internet to be able to stream ACCN and ACCNX via my ESPN app on Roku.  Needless to say, that was a very disappointing answer, since all other channels available on the ESPN app work!  I hope this answer is wrong, because I have also seen information that ACCN and ACCNX will be available in early Jan (Jan 3??).  I'm still not sure we are getting the full story from Comcast.

@Microphone I did exactly what the rep named Ethan said to do in this very topic. I DM’d Xfinity Support last night and kept going in circles and it was actually hysterical because I was saying all the right things and they still could not understand anything I was saying. I think I spoke to 5 different reps in that one DM. So I gave up. It’s a shame how we or I pay for the full Xfinity experience and yet we don’t get what we pay for but partial.

I’m just glad I’m not the only person experiencing this issue

@Microphone

Thank you for reaching out on the community forums. Xfinity is happy to announce that the Atlantic Coast Conference Network (ACCN) has launched. The ACC Network is a channel, and will be available in some packages as outlined in this thread. As an Xfinity TV customer, you can access a variety of network websites and apps. We currently provide access to more than 80 network websites and apps.

The full list of network websites and apps is here - https://comca.st/3ppfPmU

Xfinity does not control the content that that is accessible on any network websites and/or app.

I hope this helps.

Well that is certainly promising news. I'll believe it when I see it though. I had a feeling we were focusing on comcast too much and that espn was the key to this issue. Hope springs eternal.

Same problem as described above. Can access other ESPN channels through the Roku but get message "not authorized to play this content" when trying to access ACCNX. Is the info about deleting and re-installing ESPN app on the Roku correct?

@user_915239 Deleting and re-install did not work for me.  I hope the "sometime in January" for the ESPN fix will happen

I have logged out of Xfinity and on to Hulu as my tv provider on my iPad and in the ESPN app I logged Xfinity out and Hulu on. I can then get ACCNX on the iPad but if I try to mirror onto tv it cuts me off. Not sure if this is Xfinity or ESPN problem but I am not happy.

Incredibly frustrating conversation with an ESPN customer service rep a short time ago. The problem “should” be resolved “soon.” Pressing this young man a bit harder and he had zero answers and zero information. Finally, he suggested I reach out to Xfinity — as if that’s going to solve anything. Just brutal and all of us are paying money for the programming we don’t have access to yet.

Hi, @user_2efb74. I see from others in this thread who have troubleshot the issue and did some research that there seems to be a problem with the network. I don't have an official word, but I see others here have confirmed. We will be here until if anything changes.

Will someone from Xfinity solve this problem—- why can’t we access the acc network from the espn app?  I can access all other espn channels from the espn app.

Any idea when this will get resolved?  Hulu live has no issues.  Doesn’t make sense to only be able to watch ACCN on xfinity stream and not on ESPN app.  Also no option to watch ACCNX on Xfinity so miss all the other sports.  Please resolve

Hello @user_2d9a3a, it would seem other users are no longer having this issue on the ESPN application. I wanted to check back and see if you were still having this issue with their application.

Thanks MattS99. I tried tuning in on the espn app and can testify that ACC content is now being broadcast. Now I can go to bed happy. I can also cancel my subscription to sling and save some money. WooHoo. Go Heels!!!

Original poster here...  ACCN and ACCNX content is still NOT WORKING for me...either via the ESPN website or ESPN apps on my iPhone and FireTV.

Same messages / results as always.  Website appears to authenticate, but nothing plays.  ESPN apps give 'This network is not included in your current television subscription...' message.
