Just spoke with a Comcast agent and they stated the ACC Network is scheduled to be carried by Comcast starting on 10/21/19. Can you please explain why the two month delay??????

Apologies for any miscommunication you may have received from our agent.

To clarify, we don't currently have an agreement to offer this network or a date that this channel may be added for our customers .

Our content acquisition and programming teams are still negotiating with ESPN on possible carriage of this network.

Once we have additional information to share, we will certainly do that here and in other places.

Apologies again and thanks for your patience.

Whre is the ACC Network? Oh I know for northern Virginia good ol Disney ESPN+  grabbed it so now you can pay $5 a month to see any ACC Football teams. Thanks Mickey.

Understood, yes many ACC sporting events previously were available on local broadcast TV stations in multiple markets at no additional cost via Raycom Sports on over-the-air television.

Dear Comcast and Comcast Ted

With respect please stop telling us what free ACC games are on tv. Any self respecting ACC fan knows that. Also this dispute is about money. please stop telling us you are trying to save us money. If that were so you could simply lower our bills.

Answer the the questions please. Anything less is infuriating.

Will you get the ACCN?  If so When? If not, give us ACC fans a reason to stay with you. It isn't because your service is low cost.

Since you don't allow comments on the ACC Network thread, I'll add this and let you merge this in.

I had figured that Comcast/Xfinity was just playing hardball in their negotiations with Disney/ESPN, but now I'm starting to suspect that Comcast/Xfinity just doesn't think that not carrying the ACC Network will hurt them.  Either way, I decided last week that if Comcast/Xfinity didn't have the ACC Network by this morning, then it was time to move.  That would give me enough time to make sure that everything was working before the game Thursday night..

I'm sure that upper management thinks that people will come back, but I've always taken the approach that your time to satisfy me is when I'm a customer, not when I'm walking out the door.

THIS.

I mean, @Joe920 was respectful to Comcast Ted and his post, but let's be real!

How condescending can you be?  Yes, we KNOW which games are on which channel / network.  Patronizing and insulting ACC fans isn't the way to go now that we're beyond the 11th hour on the ACC Network launch.  The first game is tomorrow night, and after that, I really don't think ACC fans who leave will be in ANY mood to return after this fiasco of treating and informing customers so poorly.

So when will we be getting the network.  We pay a lot for cable and you all should not be holding out on this network.

Stop playing hardball and add the ACCN (ACC Network) to your programming!

Football starts tomorrow and I want to be able to see Virginia Tech and the other ACC schools play football. This is getting rediculous and too close to start off the season.

Apologies that we don't yet have an agreement in place. It takes two parties to negotiate and come to an equitable agreement.

Apologies if the information provided appeared condescending, that certainly was not the intent.

We get many calls and inquiries about what games are available on what channel.

Not everyone is in the loop as you are and many think that all ACC teams will be only on  the ACC Network - that is not the case (as you and some others already know).

My understanding is this network is not currently available to be offered as a single "premium channel" or allowed to be bundled with other sports channels.

ESPN's current stance is that this network is required to be offered to a very widely distributed level of service, which those costs would likely be distributed along to all of our customers.

Many ACC sporting events previously were available on local broadcast TV stations in multiple markets at no additional cost via Raycom Sports on over-the-air television.

It seems failry clear that xfinity and ESPN are engaged in harball negotiations.  xfinity wants ACCN to be a premium channel, like HBO.  Every subscriber can pay a significant monthly fee.  ESPN wants it to be part of a package, like SECN.

xfinity, based on their answers in another thread, seem to be either ignorant or apathetic about what their customers think.

We have one simple question:  Why can't ACCN and SECN be considered at the same level?  Why can't ACCN be added the same way SECN was added?

It’s amazing watching a company hasten it’s own demise.  There’s been a lot talk over the past couple of years about “cutting the cord”.  But I’m a relatively old guy.  Never considered “cutting the cord”, too set in my ways, too complicated. I should be the easiest customer to keep.  But now Comcast has forced my hand.  Turns out cutting the cord is simple.  The service is great, cheaper, and has the channels I want.  Congratulations Comcast, you just chased off a sure thing.  If an old geezer like me makes the change, you’re in deep trouble.  Nobody is going to pay extra for certain channels, extra for a dvr, extra for additional cable boxes.  And when 5G gets rolling, nobody will need your cable internet service for high speeds either.  Should of done better trying to keep me around.  I won’t be back.
