Mac address question

Hi, I recently logged into 10.0.1 admin tool just to poke around and see if everything looks good, so I clicked on hardware and then LAN, it shows you your ethernet ports, my wireless gateway has 4, so anyways it used to list mac addresses for each ethernet port but now it says "DOWN" is it some sort of a glitch? My ethernet devices work fine but I was just wondering why it says down instead of listing mac addresses like it used to.
