survey of audio receivers which can passthrough 4k UHD from xg1v4 to a display

Comcast was out to the house for the third time to try to figure out why 4k is not working properly from the xg1v4.  Their conclusion was that the sound cannot be passed through the receiver (Onkyo TXNR646), despite it being within spec for all the equipment, using the correct ports, high quality cables, etc.  Bypassing the receiver is not an option, because the display has no audio capability at all (it is a projector), and the xg1v4 has no separate audio output.  In looking through this forum, others have had the same problem, so I think it would be useful to ask the question the other way around.  Which audio receivers are confirmed to actually work well with 4k UHD passthough from the xg1v4?

I saw reference to one recent model Denon that was working well, but that's all.  Anyone else have a receiver which successfully passes though 4k@60p UHD?  What model is it?

connect to TV instead, and TV's ARC output to the receiver.

I think you missed this part:

Seems like a possible workaround, but it isn't the question I asked. Hard to believe that all these receivers support 4k pass-through, but none of them work as intended with Comcast. If I use an HDMI splitter, none of the receiver's on screen menus will be visible.

Attaching directly to the TV is *not* an acceptable workaround, because it adds the inconvenience of an additional input switch on the TV when switching to/from the XG1v4. It also prevents the surround processor from capturing the enhanced audio formats that can’t be passed through the TV’s ARC.

I note, however, that the QuickStart/Setup Guide requires connecting directly to the TV. It does not state the negative requirement of not connecting to a pre-amp, or sound system, switch. If that is a hard constraint, which seems to be the case, it should specify that.
