Ok, so I just switched up to Xfinity from other provider about a week and a half ago - stinking box has been rebooting 3 times now in the past hour - WHAT GIVES?

Have you checked all connections for cable ends coming loose, or a loose dirty connection? RG6u (quad shielded) coaxial is best. The box is reseting because of data errors caused by a weak signal reaching the box.
Have you upgraded your HDMI cable to a newer one capable of X1 steaming service?
