X1 Box with IR input port?
Does Comcast currently offer an X1 box that has an input for an IR extender? My current cable box is hidden behind my TV and does not have an IR input port to accept an IR extender.
I purchased a universal remote which has both IR and RF capability but the installer mentioned some features are not possible via RF. Thanks

The X1 remotes use RF once paired with the box, so it can be mounted out of sight when you use its own remote. The remotes can also control TVs and receivers via IR. Not quite up to what a Harmony can do but usable for most situations and the voice feature is nice.
