Replace Arris X1??

I currently have the Arris X1 Box MX011BNM.

It is slow when changing channels especially going from channel 100 to 1440 for example.

In fact slow when going from low range to high (over 1000).

Apps are slow also.

It will be a little faster if I do a System Refresh. But that only lasts for a short time.

The clock is also missing parts of the numbers.

I have had it for 2 years now.

Is it time to replace it?

If so, should I get the XG1v4?

Is it neccesary to have a Xfinity modem (gateway) (I have my own cable modem SB 6183)?

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

TV to cable box is HDMI.

Audio is HDMI from TV to soundbar.

Edit

If you know.

Is it easier to get the new cable box at the Xfinity store or should I try to get via the web site?

good, the xg14k will be fine like that. note that the xg1v4 has no clock and does have bluetooth capability (headset must have its own volume control).

Thanks for the additional info.

I knew about the no clock being on the unit and the bluetooth capabilities from my recent research.

Thanks again for your help.
