No More Codes for Voice Remote

Anyone who has ever set up a new remote control to work with multiple devices knows it can be tricky. So this week, we added a new feature to X1 that will automatically set up the X1 Voice Remote to work with your television. That means X1 users can start searching and watching right away without hunting for special remote codes or fumbling with instructions.

For new X1 customers – or existing customers who may have just received one of our X1 Voice Remotes – X1 will now immediately detect the model of the television they are using and program the remote to control things like TV power, volume and input. Within seconds, X1 will display an on-screen message that the remote is ready to go.

Today this feature works with both new X1 installations (making self-installing even easier) and when customers add a new remote to an existing X1.

How would this work with multiple X1-connected TVs in close proximity?

I've gone thjrough 4 X1 remotes in the last 10 days, even had a technician come out.  All works great except volume, mute and TV power functions.  Tech got a remote working, thought I was all set - that evening, remote reverted to same functions not working.  Frustrating!

That part of the setup was easy.  Unfortunately, I have to pair my remote each morning.  Any idea why it won't retain the settings?  After I pair the remote and set it up to work with my tv it works, but the next day I have to do it all over again.

I've had my X2 system for a week, so I assume the remote is new, yet I had to pair to the TV the old fashioned way.

Hi Rob

I have a new Sony projector just need the xr11 to turn on and off is there a code for Sony projector VPLHW45ES. Or is there a way the xr11 remote can go into leaning mode. Thank you

As far as I know the remotes do not work with projectors, TVs and audio equipment only.

Sounds great if it worked. I just bought a new TCL 55R613. Did not recognize tv. Could not find the correct code to do it manually. Did I miss something?
