Live TV pauses while watching

Since I’ve had my X1 system the STB has been pausing my shows randomly while watching and then catching up to live time. What can cause this and or what can fix it. It’s starting to drive me crazy

Depending on the type of box, normally it’s going to be signal levels or noise/interference on the cable itself
