Manually selecting the channel shows in HD.  

 

All other local stations (ABC, CBS, FOX, etc..) are all recording at the highest resolution - just as the rest of my channels.

find the listing in your scheduled recordings priority list and delete it. find the next episode on the HD channel on the guide itself and set a new recording on that channel.
