For reasons that I don't understand, occassionally we lose access to WESV 396 Estrella TV on all of our TV sets. This channell is still in our lineup. We have always resest the modem several times to no avail. Pre Covid 19, we would contact Tech Support and they would recommend returning the TV boxes to an Xfinity store for replacements and that alwaus worked. However, now our local Xinity stores are temporarily closed and our issue does not merit a technician coming to our home.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
By lose access, do you mean you get a "Not Authorized" message? Or do just get a signal interruption message? I'm also in the Chicago area, WESV is a broadcast channel, so Comcast should be carrying it. As I type this and check, it is blank and has a hissing noise. Comcast probably uses an antenna to pick it up, but they are off the air for some reason. They are a low-power station and broadcast from Willis tower, which is having power issues due to flooding.
I too get a blank channel with a hissing noise. I asked around to others in my building who have Xfinity and all of them also get a hissing noise and a blank channel.
I would have to agree with your assessment of this issue.
