No signal

My VCR/DVD combo recorder worked fine with my 7 year old 49" RCA LCD TV. Now I replaced it with a 49" LG smart TV hooked it up the same way but not getting cable signal to combo to record my shows

Shouldn’t this be a question for either the tv or vcr manufacturers? Comcast has nothing to do with either piece of equipment. Double check everything or take it apart and try again.

Sounds like your old TV replicated/split the cable signal to the port your VCR was connected to.  Not so, with your new smart TV.
