I have a new TV and have connected to cable box via HDMI cable. Have tried numerous times and it doesn't seem to be connection problem from TV, as other devices are connecting fine. Box is Motorola DCX3200. Is it possible that this is just old an incompatible with newer television technology?
I'm not sure I'm paying for HD - that may be the issue. I used to have both HDMI and coax connected. But it didn't seem that the tv was recognizing the coax so I figured it wasn't necessary.

What make/model TV do you have? Have you tried a different HDMI cable?
Sony Bravia XBR-85X80H. Yes, I have tried a different HDMI cable.

And you've tried all the HDMI inputs? And checked each of the HDMI input settings for anything to toggle?
I have. I have also tried attaching the coax and HDMI as I had to prior television and it doesn't seem to be making any difference. It is clearly making a connection because using the tv remote I can turn the cable box on and off. It is just not connecting to the programming at all.

What make/model was your old TV that worked?

There are numerous Motorola DCX3200 models. Maybe a visit to an Xfinity store, if convenient, to upgrade your TV box.
Thanks. I think a visit to the xFinity store may be my only option.
Thanks, I may just need to visit the xfinity store to determine what the deal is. The only other tv is my old Samsung. No other cable box, but I'll just have to see if I need to upgrade the box or service (to HD).
