New DTA device

Just installed a new Comcast DTA device (replacing a defective one) using the cables comcast sent with the unit.  Getting error code 222 which is supposed to mean a loose connection.  I checked and all connections are tight and secure.  We tried unplugging the power, but that didn't help.  Any other ideas?  Do I have to call Comcast to activate?
