Spam Email Takeover

Earlier this morning, I started to receive non-stop spam emails.  At one point, I walked away from my computer and had over 300 emails in less than an hour.  At that point, I had already changed my password twice.  Is my email done and I need to move on, or is there a way to salvage it?  I have too much in there to just forgo the email if I can help it.

I am also receiving several spam emails a day regarding my email account requiring updating etc. with a link to click.  I forward every one of them to abuse@comcast (literally hundreds by now) with no stoppage and no comment from comcast.  It is the latter that really angers me.  It's like the abuse complaints are being ignored/deleted without anybody even caring.  I am about to switch my email address to gmail and dump comcast altogether.

Hello, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Reports that are properly sent out to our Customer Security Assurance team are not ignored, and we do take them very seriously. You usually won't receive communication back, but that doesn't mean we didn't get your message! Are you forwarding these emails over to us, or copy and pasting them and sending them to us in a new email? When reporting spam/phishing emails, it is critical that you send us the email headers, and forwarding the email will remove the original headers.

Here is a helpful link that will provide more information on how to report any kind of security issues you are running into online: https://comca.st/3aDHOaM Click the Report Spam and Phishing Emails tab for the proper steps on sending us spam or phishing emails.

I constantly receive spam emails telling me that I need to do something to upgrade (etc) my service. I have blocked them, but they still find a way through. I also forward them to the Comcast abuse email. No one seems to be concerned on their end. Maybe the FTC should get involved and light a fire under Xfinity's rear end...

Hello and Happy Sunday, user_37296a! I hope you’re having a great weekend! I also appreciate you taking a moment out of your day to reach out to us on our Community Forums! You’ve reached the best place and perfect person to help with virtually all of your account needs!

Going forward, I'm truly sorry to hear about the spam issues you're having with your email services as security is something we take very seriously here at Comcast. To confirm, did contact our CSA team by phone to report a claim regarding the subject or just forwarding spam emails to the Abuse email account?
