Is anyone else noticing there are mostly reruns on ID?
Networks don't produce new shows 52 weeks of the year. All networks show reruns at some point, a nd that includes Discovery+, Disney+, CBS All Access [Paramount+], etc.
The pandemic has made a mess of productions. Some shows are out of pre-pandemic recordings and are delayed getting newer ones.
Also, being a Discovery Networks channel, I wouldn't be surprised if they are focusing more on Discovery+ streaming. It seems as if they have been moving shows to be exclusive to that now.
I am bombarded with the constant advertising on ID for the discovery+ streaming service that most new programs will be exclusively shown there and not on ID. I believe markets are different though because my mom upstate who watches ID hasn’t seen anything about discovery+.
I am sick of the ads for Discovery Plus, I pay for cable TV, I do not want to be forced to stream all day long. Bad idea on their part and then to charge for it. If that is the case, I will go to a cheaper package it won't matter if I have ID any longer. Xfinity limits their data as well now, if you go over they charge you, might be time to move on to another provider.

It is a Discovery issue. Xfinity has nothing to do with it.
A lot of shows that were on ID channel, HGTV, TLC and all the other channels Discovery own, are being moved to discovery +. I know it isn't Xfinity doing it, it is Discovery that is doing it. I really don't have much use for cable anymore, seeing as most of the shows we watch are on Discovery +, prime video & peacock. So when our contract is up we will be canceling. We will just pay for Discovery + & peacock. It will be cheaper than our cable bill.
