I'm in the Chicago area, so the real WGN-TV is a regular channel. WGN America used to be the 'superstation' version that would simulcast most WGN programming. A few years ago, it was re-branded as a generic cable channel and has no link to the real WGN.

Same here. Channel 942 This TV is now Court TV.

I think this happend on many stations. Same here in Chicago, where it's a subchannel of WGN.

So, is there an explanation? Also, WGN is now a subscription channel? I just upgraded and channels are disappearing like crazy.
