Router constantly restarting, only when PC is in use

My PC is continuously crashing the internet. Considering how many different fixes I have tried, my next theory is that my xfi pod may be defective. This only occurs when my PC is in use. Sometimes it will last for around 6 hours before restarting the router, other times it’s immediate upon starting. There’s no rhyme or reason for it to be restarting the entire Gateway.
What I’ve tried PC-wise:

-full network reset

-the winsock commands

-new network card with new Ethernet port

-new Ethernet cable

-restarting constabtly

-reinstalled, updated, rolled back, etc. all network drivers multiple times

At this point, I’m really not sure what else to try. After the router crashes and restarts, my PC says there is no valid IP configuration and often refuses to connect. Is it possible that my pod (1st gen) has just reached the end of its lifespan and is triggering the router restart? Should I return the router (Xfinity gateway) and get a replacement? I would vastly appreciate some help.

Hey there, TDoc72, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your account. We would be happy to help you with troubleshooting your connection. Are you only having issues with the PC? Also, do you have any splitters connected? Is the PC hardwired directly to the Wi-Fi Boost Pod? How long have you had the pod?

Yes, it seems like the PC is the only thing causing the problem. There are no splitters connected, and the PC is directly connected to the pod with an ethernet cable that was just replaced (it did not fix the problem). The pod is several years old, I'm not exactly sure.
