Port Forwarding....

I can't believe xfinity is still refusing to provide a solution. I am trying to Port forward my DESKTOP PC CONNTECTED VIA ETHERNET  PORT TO MY XFI GATEWAY. My desktop has ethernet but your stupid app does not recognize my DESKTOP as a device. Because of this I CANNOT PORT FORWARD. I have tried all your dumb articles that these support people copy and paste and nothing seems to allow my desktop to be recognized by this stupid app.  If I could actually get an answer to the issue that isn't just a copy paste out of a binder full of dumb  responses.  THANKS

Have you got a solution for this issue? I experience the same problem. My device is not show as connected (although it is connected and can get to internet). I went through a power cycle the router with agent and it did not make any different. Regardless what i do, it not show up as connected device. The app should allow to enter an IP in case device is not recognized.

@user_b39f0c nope nothing yet, I gave over my information and supposedly a ticket was created. But haven't heard anything yet for simple issue. Just allow us to manually enter the ip of the device or allow the offline devices to also show up in the list.

Update: still no information provided, I guess xfinity is already on christmas break. To be honest this is what I expected, not sure why I gave my personal information at this time.

I post another message in this forum ‎can not configure port forwarding with xfi app | Xfinity Community Forum but it look like it did not make any different. It seem the only option is put this Desktop IP to DMZ, but you will need to have a firewall running on the Desktop to protect itself as DMZ exposed all ports to this IP.

Any response to this yet? I am running into a similar issue. Devices connected via Ethernet are not recognized by your app.

Hello, I would like to look into this. What type of modem are you using? Have you already tried resetting the device?

I'm having the same problem as the rest of these people. My device is not even on the list of devices and so I can't forward a port, but I can ssh or go into it's web server. It might be nice if you could allowing entering the local ip address for it and then allow the port forward. Almost all routers allow that and yours would too if Xfinity didn't block port forwarding on the router admin interface.
