Parental Controls are still not blocking

Parental controls are set up through the admin tools (the 10.0.0.0.1). BUT the Parental Controls are still not blocking YOUTUBE and other sites I don’t want my kids on when they are to be doing homework. I can not get this Parental Controls that Xfinity has to work.  I have the Parental Controls set up correctly as I have watched and read so many articles on how to do this…. They still are not blocking out the times I want my kids to be doing something else.  HELP…!!!!!!!

@user_3gmscq We know the importance of being able to control your network as you need, and we are here to help! Are you currently using one of our modems, or your own modem? Have you tried to manage your controls via the Xfinity app's xFi Parental Controls instead of the Admin Tool?

omg yes I have used your app and it does nothing at all.  I'm using the little white tower you guys gave me.

Our system can take up to 24 hours to affect the devices that you made changes to, @user_3gmscq. It is recommended to clear the cache from the device after you change the parental control to make the change take effect more quickly. Did you change the options longer than 24 hours ago or tried to clear the cache on the affected device(s)? I understand that you turned the settings on already but want to make sure our system is reflecting that as well. Does the Xfinity app show YouTube Restricted Mode is on when you check it?

@XfinityKatie

FWIW. 10.0.0.1 is a Comcast rented gateway device.

@EG Well it works with Xfinity by the way... Comcast and Xfinity are two different names for the same company. Comcast is the name of the company that provides cable TV, internet, and phone services. Xfinity is the name of their consumer brand. So when you see the Xfinity logo, it's just Comcast in disguise.

Did you get this issue resolved?  I am having the exact same issue.  The parental controls set up through the admin tool worked last week, but suddenly they do not.  I haven't changed anything.  I spent all day on the phone yesterday with Comcast and got nowhere.  A tech came out today and told me to uninstall and reinstall the Xfinity app.  I have no idea what that is supposed to do to affect the admin tool.

After following this link (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/set-up-parental-controls-with-comcast-networking) and doing as it said, I was able to block sites, but devices I put as a "yes" trusted computer are sometimes being blocked from access the sites.
