Need 2nd IP address PLEASE HELP

Hello, I am using a modem that has 2 ethernet ports and I need a 2nd IP address to connect my PC and Router at the same time. I have connected support and have read rate card and I need help adding to my plan

Good luck. They have removed this option for the most part, but occasionally I’ll hear of them relenting and giving it to someone.

They are phasing it out but I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. We've seen cases here where they have been able to get this accomplished for customers even when it is not listed in their rate cards, YMMV. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !

Hi @Scotty2C , I can take a look to see if this option is available in your area. We have phasing this feature out as mentioned but I would be happy to look into this. Can you private message me your name and address? 

To send the requested information:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon or https://comca.st/39bhWBS

  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support"

      there. As you are typing a drop-down list appears.

  • Select "Xfinity Support" from that list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

  • Press Enter to send it
