MyQ can't connect to server

Hi Team,

I started to see the same MyQ connectivity issue that others have reported around the same time:

I even replaced my MyQ hub with a brand‑new unit, but the problem persists. Could you please open port 8883 on my network (or apply the same fix you used for those other customers) so my device can stay online?

Thank you for your help

That's a good point, I do have a few home automation device doesn't work, and I think I found the issue. After I disabled DNS-over-TLS on my router, it starts working again. Just post my solution here as many smart home devices doesn't support DoT today.
Thank you!

Hello @user_ttsliv, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to leave a post. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your MyQ Hub. I have attached an article on blocked internet ports. Other than those listed nothing is blocked. What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Hey @XfinityMarshante , thanks for getting back to me, seems port 8883 is not in the list

I tried:

1. brought a new MyQ hub

2. turned off my router's firewall

3. turned off my router's traffic filtering

4. enabled port triggering form 8883

But no luck. Please advise if there's any other step I could try. Thank you!

@user_ttsliv, outside of power cycling the modem, since this is the only device that you are having an issue with, have you tried contacting MyQ hub support?

Hey there user_g71iwu! We appreciate you reaching out on our community forums! I'm sorry to hear you're having issue connecting your myQ to your garage door. You're in the right place, and we're more than happy to help! To clarify, is the garage door not connecting to your home Wi-Fi or is myQ not recognizing that it's connected?
