Issue with DNS server?

Wondering if anyone else is having an issue with certain websites not working? In the Bay Area - here are my tracert results for catharsisonlinetraining.com

Reviewing the website, we are showing the website appears to be down and not operating. We recommend reaching out to the owners or support team of the website to find the issue.

 

Alternatively, you can visit https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/ to see if the webpage is working. This source is stating the website is throwing a 404 error and not working. Have you reached out them to see if they are aware of their website having issues?

Hello Janelle,

I'm not even getting a 404 error - just an Xfinity screen (screenshot at https://imgur.com/PJvYShU)

I'm recieving a 404 error on my mobile device internet and other networks, so it's definitely something on the Xfinity side.

avi_83, I have tried both on the XFINITY network and off and I am actually able to get to the site with no issues right now. It gives me a log in page. In your screenshot, that is the screen you get when your services are not yet activated. Are you on a VPN or using a stand-alone router at all?

Hi Frank,

I'm not on a VPN and I'm able to visit other websites just fine. In fact, I just manually changed my DNS to 1.1.1.1 and this website works just fine. Not sure what's going on with the Xfinity DNS server.

Hello and hope you are doing well! I am glad to hear you were able to get in by changing DNS servers, avi_83. That is certainly odd if you were unable to get in with the normal XFINITY DNS as I am able to. To be sure, 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.76.76 are our DNS servers.
