Internet shuts off same time every night help.

Hello, noticed for 3 weeks that my internet shuts off every night around 10pm and works intermittently until about 7am then works perfect all day. Below are my modem event logs Arris SB6183. Drives me nuts. Also says my modem is not connected on my xfinity account page but it works just fine under heavy load all day long.

Network connection problems are often due to poor coax connections or damaged coax cable, usually in or near your home.

If you want to troubleshoot this yourself, please see Internet Troubleshooting Tips. If you still need help, please post your Internet plan speed and the following information from your modem:

  • downstream power levels, SNR, and error counts
  • upstream power levels

If you can't find the problem or you'd rather have Comcast take care of it, call them at the phone number on your bill or 1-800-Comcast, or use one of the options on https://www.xfinity.com/support/contact-us/. It's not likely they can fix the problem remotely. If not, insist they send a tech out to identify the cause and correct it.

If the tech finds bad coax, splitters, amplifiers, or connections in your home (even if Comcast originally supplied them) you'll probably have to pay for the visit ($70-$100) unless you have their Service Protection Plan ( https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/service-protection-plan, closed to customers that don't already have it). If the trouble is due to a faulty Comcast rental device or anything outside your home you shouldn't be charged.

Just happened again. When internet went down it said I was denied access to the docsis3 network and only had one chutney up and down.

Those look pretty good, except the downstream power level is a bit hot. You might try inserting a 7 db splitter in line with the modem to knock that down a bit. But my guess is it won't help much. If it doesn't, as stated you'll need to get Comcast on the case and keep after them until this is fixed.

@BruceW​ those channels reflect when the internet is working perfectly. its when the internet suddenly cuts out around 2200 every day that they real problems start.Here is the connection page of my modem when everything is going haywire

@EG​  so i went and bought a new modem. Arris S33. Got it setup with relative ease with the app. Then waited for 2200 for the typical shut down to occur. It did not happen at 2200, or 2300. But some time in the night it went down again and i woke up to no internet again. I copied the modem logs. They are below. Seems like some catastrophic event happened around 0200. Anyone know how to read these? seems like a Level 6 event is bad. internet came back on after modem reset at 0800ish.
