Internet connection issues to online game servers. (PC)

I switched to Xfinity recently. Using the Gateway modem and ethernet cable,  Even used a new ethernet cable. Still having the issue of connecting to online game servers. games such as  League, and other online Steam games.
it will sometimes connect but will disconnect within 5 minutes. 
have tried restarting the Gateway modem, computer, and reinstalling the game.

First of all; calling at midnight on a weekend is no way to get help.

Secondly: your gateway is set at WPA3 which is high security. Playing games online is not a safe thing to do currently.

The gateway would need to be lowered to WPA2. I would recommend replying to an employee as asked.

I switched  the Wifi to WPA2 as you suggested and still having the issues. (restarted devices involved)

If you're gaming online, do you have any ping/traceroute logs that show connections/disconnections and/or timeouts from the modem?

@XfinityAlfonso​ A technician is coming out tomorrow. I believe the issue is that me and a neighbor are sharing the same access point. We both have Xfinity and our devices are showing up as connected on our seperate networks.

the tech confirmed it was a split access point. They fixed it. and now there are no longer any issues
