How to Remove Amplifier and Keep Internet

Hello, how do I uninstall/remove the CommScope CSMAPDU9VP power amplifier and still have internet access? When I unplug it, the internet goes out. I am using the Xfinity XB7 gateway. The plug-in amplifier is taking up an outlet and breaker that I need for something else. I stream content and will not need cable TV. Also, a while back, Xfinity fixed the power problem at the outside source.

You could try using a passive Coax cable splitter instead of that powered splitter / amplifier. Here's an example of a 6-way one: https://www.amazon.com/Extreme-BALANCED-DIGITAL-PERFORMANCE-SPLITTER/dp/B00GF7RMWQ

Use one that has the lowest number of ports that will suit your needs (2-way, 3-way, 4-way, etc). If the incoming signal strength is adequate, it should work OK. But be advised that you may actually need to retain that amp for things to be able to work properly. YMMV. Good luck !

@XfinityJorge

Why does this have to go private at this point ? That kind of defeats the purpose of a public help forum such as this is, no ?... This is in keeping with the intent of what these public help forums were originally designed for so that all readers here may benefit.
