Hey @Bthild97, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. I hope you are loving the service. With having a fiber connection with the ONU, customer owned modems and devices are not supported. You would need to continue using the Comcast provided ONU and modem. If there happens to be anything more we could assist you with regarding the amazing suite of Xfinity products and services, please let us know. We are always happy to help.

Both are acceptable configurations depending on equipment and inventory on hard @Bthild97.

The xb7 doesn't have wifi 7 so why would it be acceptable to pair it with a 2Gb service?

user_3jqeu1 The preferred and only option for Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) is our XF3 gateway. The Arris X5001 is also known as the Xfinity Fiber Gateway (XF3). It’s specifically designed for fiber-to-the-home (EPON) service and acts as both the ONT and the gateway in one unit.

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/broadband-gateways-userguides says "Maximum data throughput: 1 Gbps" for the X5001.

I am glad to hear you were able to get your hands on the XER10. Was there anything more we could assist you with today before we close out this thread @Bthild97?
