I would like to set up an isolated guest network.

If this is a Comcast-rented device, they do not offer a separate guest network feature;

@EG The xfinity link provided is ridiculous and [Edited: “Profanity”]  solution from xfinity...1) share your private network with guests (NO WAY!!!!...they can see ALL your devices and is a security risk), or 2) have them connect to the xfinitywifi SSID, which is great if your guest is an xfinity member...but if they are not they have to pay $10/month to connect to internet....[Edited: “Profanity”]

There used to be a guest network feature...but looks like xfinity hijacked it for their own use and purpose, limiting the use of the "guest" network to xfinity named/controlled SSID and only for xfinity customers or having to create an account and pay $10/month to connect (of course the $10/month does not go to you, the one paying for the service......)

SHAME COMCAST AND XFINITY!!! SHAME!

Having a private guest network that's separate from your own private network is basic security and essential functionality that any router and internet service provider should provide...for the security sake of your customers, PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!!!! SHAME ON YOU! SHAME! ...you should know and do better.

Hey @user_owtvoj , Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to reach out regarding a guest network. I would be more than happy to offer my assistance, you can give your guests access to your network by check out https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/help-guests-get-online. This will provide the steps to allow your guests access to the network.

NO, NO, NO - that link does NOT help guests get online...option 1 compromises your home network security by exposing all your devices and entire network to whoever you shared it with...and they can further share it with others or if their device is compromised, the network password can be stolen and hijacked by whoever compromised their device. Option 2 helps other xfinity customers connect to the internet using your device (and your connection's bandwidth) or directs your guests to pay $10/month to access the "guest" network at your house (on an internet service you've already paid for...). This is [Edited: “Profanity”] xfinity...it's irresponsible to suggest and direct customers to share their private network with guests - [Edited: “Profanity”] ...it's like giving a house key to every guest that comes to your house, and letting them go explore and see every room and closet in your home at will and without your permission.
