Daily Outages/Connection Drops

I have been experiencing issues with intermittent internet drops since I moved into my current apartment in June 2025 and restarted service with Xfinity. This impedes my ability to work on a daily basis. I even purchased a new computer in case that was the issue, but the outages have continued on the new device and across other devices. My desk is set up in the same room as the modem, but this occurs all throughout my apartment. What is especially frustrating is that the Xfinity app never registers the outages and claims that my connection is "booming" while testing my internet speed on my laptop during an outage barely reaches 1 mb. Perhaps the Xfinity app is testing something else? I had a technician come out last year and he did not find any issues. I am at a loss at this point.

Hi there, @user_dasha. Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum and sorry to hear you're still experiencing trouble with your service. Let's see what we can do to figure this out. First, do you have any hard-wired ethernet devices that you use with the connection that you can test with or is everything WiFi only?

Hi, Frank. Thanks for the quick response. Everything is Wifi only - my apartment is "Wifi-Ready" for Xfinity and came with a modem. I am not using that modem, however, due to a mistake by a Xfinity technician over the phone.

Thank you for the additional details. We are happy to research this and see what is going on by looking into the account. In order to get started can you please send me a DM with your name and address?
To send a "direct message" / "private message" message to Xfinity Support:
 • Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Direct Message" icon
 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
 • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 • As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 • An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send it
