xfinity stream

Regardless of device ( Laptop, Chromebook, etc) xfinity stream constantly has errors and ask to clear cache etc. It has been years of this nonsense. I clear the cache, delete the cookies and a day later it happens again. Is this the best you can offer?

We definitely want to ensure that this issue is resolved for you! After checking for known issues, we are not showing anything currently going on that should be causing these errors, so we'd like to check your account to see if there is anything going on your online profile specifically to cause this to keep popping up. If you send us a private message by hitting the chat icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen, click the "new message" option, and type "Xfinity Support", you'll be able to select that profile to send us a message directly. We look forward to meeting you there to get this taken care of!

On March 27, 2021 I started getting Error TVAPP-00170 when trying to sign in to xfinity.com/stream/listings on my 2 PCs. I see this has been a problem as late as 3/11/21 for some people when I read the forum I need this fixed. Comcast may need to wipe out the active signons to clear error TVAPP-00170.

On 3/29/21 I talked with Comcast employee Noe (first name) and he cleared the active signons to resolve error TVAPP-00170. Finally someone who knew how to fix the issue. Thanks to him!

It is the same error messages everyone gets and the repeated requests to clear the cache. These are brand new state of the art computers and a brand new chromebook. Inexcusable

Hi, @mzelagin! Thanks for using our forums page. I am sorry to learn about the no sound issue on those local channels. I can definitely understand the inconvenience that this can cause when trying to watch a favorite show. Let’s get that fixed. Can you tell me if you are experiencing this issue on multiple devices?

@user_25c5cb This is definitely not the experience that we want for you to have on those brand new computers. We can help. Please feel free to send us a private message confirming your first/last name and address so we can take a look at what’s going on and ensure we are working on the correct account. You can send us a private message by clicking the chat icon located in the top right corner on your forums page when signed in. Once there, you can search for "Xfinity Support" to compose your direct message.
