Xfinity Stream Fire TV – Location Services Error on Local Channels

Hello,
I'm experiencing a new issue with the Xfinity Stream app on my Amazon Fire TV Stick. This setup previously worked without any problems, but local/location-dependent TV Go channels are now displaying a Location Services error asking me to enable location and select “High Accuracy or Battery Saving.”
My device information:
Device: Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K (1st Gen)
Fire OS: 6.7.1.1
Xfinity Stream: 8.16.0.4121
Location permission: Enabled for Xfinity Stream
The issue does not affect all channels. For example, ESPN, CNN and CW stream normally, while FOX, PBS and other local/location-dependent programming give me the Location Services error.
The affected programming works normally through Xfinity Stream on my laptop, so the issue appears to be specific to location verification within the Fire TV version of the Xfinity Stream app.
I have already tried the following:
Verified Xfinity Stream has Location permission enabled
Verified the Fire Stick and Xfinity Stream app are fully updated
Force stopped the app
Cleared the cache and app data
Restarted and completely power-cycled the Fire Stick
Uninstalled/reinstalled and reactivated Xfinity Stream
The problem remains.
This began only recently. The same Fire Stick, network and Xfinity account previously streamed these channels without this location error. I've also found reports from other Fire TV users experiencing similar new location-validation problems.
One potentially important detail is that the error asks me to change the location mode to “High Accuracy or Battery Saving.” Those are Android location settings that aren't available as options in Fire OS. Selecting “Update Settings” from the error screen also does not take me to any settings screen.
Since other TV Go channels continue to work and the affected channels work through Xfinity Stream on my laptop, could this please be escalated to the Xfinity Stream/Fire TV technical team to determine whether there is a location-validation issue with the current Fire TV app?
