why is the Xfinity steaming app so poor?

Endless frustrating problems with the Xfinity streaming app on a Samsung Smart TV.

Multiple times, just end up locked on the purple screen with the three flashing dots.

Have to perform multiple random combinations of reinstall, power-off, clear-cache to get back to a working state, took 22 minutes tonight.

Even if it starts to work, watching sports often ends up in unwatchable pixelated resolution, looking worse than an 1980's SD tv.

And frequent stops due to "attempting to resume" stream.

Now, I know you will blame my wifi, provided by Xfinity, but other apps do not have this issue.

Amazon prime always starts up immediately, and shows sports in 4K with no issues, it's just the Xfinity app that has these problems..

My download speed over wireless is ~350Mbs on a laptop, and measured from the tv at 25Mbs.

Just fix it.

Hey there user_dfiior, thanks for joining us here in our community forums! I'm sorry to hear that you're having so many issues with the Xfinity Stream app on your Samsung TV. Do you have similar issues when using the app on other devices or smart TVs? Also, was the app working fine previously or has it been working poorly since you first tried using it?

As I said, other apps do not have the same issue.

The app has always been temperamental, but in the last month or so it's got worse, similar to the other thread.
