ESPN still looks like it got hit with an ugly stick and refuses to play in HD streaming online.  Last night TNT had no issues.  Please fix this Comcast.

If you watch Premier League on NBC Sports you can just watch it on their website. Xfinity sucks

To anyone still following this thread, according to an official employee, it has been "resolved" on Comcast's end.

I am still experiencing the same low quality as I have for the last several weeks, so if you are as well, please speak out so we can let them know that it is not resolved.

Hi, @ttudrums! I am sorry to learn that your still experiencing the same low quality issue. I checked on my end and everything seems to be working. Have you checked to see if your experiencing this issue on multiple devices?

@XfinityGabriel Yes. I have done everything multiple times. Used 3 different browsers on 3 different PCs and an iMac. Cleared cookies, cache, restared modem, received refresh signals from Comcast, contacted technical support many times, escalated to Level 2 tech support. Nothing has changed. I responded to another of your posts with exactly this. I don't understand how it can be seen as solved. It is still 480p at best, when I have used the browser version of this service for years with no issues getting at least 720p.

For reference, I have a high-end PC (Intel i9, NVIDIA 2080Ti, 32GB RAM)

Saturday, October 23, 2021 (PDT) - Trying to watch 1330 PACBA. Still worse than SD.

Pixilation on web browser service.

Quality set to Auto.

Confirm streaming app on Roku is OK.

Help us. And, let's talk about discounts for the continued lack of service.

I am having the exact same issue everyone is having. I even had Xfinity send me another modem at 15 dollars for shipping when its not the modem. I had no problem a few weeks ago with HD using the stream on my computer, now its at best SD. I tried using the tv go like earlier posters recommended and it WAS a lot better but that now buffers and loses connection. So it most defiantly a Xfinity problem. I recall earlier Xfinity wanting to charge for high usage internet but was told they couldn't do that due to internet usage during the COVID pandemic, is this how you're making up for the high internet usage? We already pay a lot for service, we should be getting what we paid for.

I've been dealing with this for quite some time. Tech support is useless for this issue. They have insisted twice that it's a signal problem where nothing could be farther from the truth. They have insisted on sending techs to my house and all the techs have been able to do is laugh at the uselessness of the telephone techs. Nothing wrong with the signal but tech support insisted on sending out a field tech before they would send me to Tier 4 tech support. I really don't have the stomach to even try that at this point. I grow weary and angry at the lack of support in regard to this issue.

There are definite quality issues with the Xfinity streaming.  I can watch the same channel on YouTube TV with perfect resolution but if I immediately, at the same time, in the same browser, switch over to Xfinity it has lower resolution and sometimes choppy performance. It has nothing to do with network performance and everything to do with Xfinity's streaming.  I truly believe that Xfinity switched its resolution from 720 to 480.  Xfinity support, can you please tell us what resolution you're streaming at for Live TV?

On my PC, I've watched on MS Edge and Google Chrome and the quality is poor for both. I am connect by ethernet and other video sites like youtube play 4k video just fine.  While streaming over wifi or cellular on my iphone though the quality is always great.

Im having the same issue.

I invited friends over to watch the Formula 1 race today and I usually stream it to my PC in the basement since that area is bigger than my living room. I have my PC hooked to the TV in the basement. Ive done this in the past for football games and it was always a great picture. Today its just trash video quality and its embarrasing. I feel like Im watching a stream from some shady link I found on the internet becasue I dont have cable to watch the race. BUT I DO have cable and I pay a lot for it........... Internet video from 2001.

Ive tried restarting my modem and clearing browser cache, not sure what else I can do. It seems like Xfinity is limiting bandwidth.

So reading through all the posts in this thread, I tried streaming a channel that is TVGO, and its so much better. Its not what it was, but its quite decent.

Same thing here, I thought I was going crazy... Xfinity Stream on my computer used to be the same quality as what I'd get watching on a box on my TV, but now it's like 480p at best. Even when forcing the stream quality to "high"

I'm so glad I found this thread, because it is so frustrating. TV GO channels are slightly better, but still not great in terms of super high quality

Hi user_aa738d, in most cases stream quality is determined by the quality of connection that you have to the internet. Are you using your home network to stream or are you connected to a local hot spot?

@XfinityAmir For the 5 millionth time, this is not a user end issue. This is on comcast's end. I have a 1Gbps wired connection on a PC with an i9, 2080Ti, and 32GB RAM and I cant get a video more than 360p on any channel through the Xfinity Stream website, yet ANY other site I use, I can render 4k almost immediately.

Please stop passing the buck on to the users. This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Constantly getting the run around from every employee on this forum, and countless employees coming in here and providing conflicting information. You say its a connection issue, someone else says it's a known issue, someone else says it's resolved (which it certainly is not), and here we are, 5 WEEKS later and the issue still persists for many, many people.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do something to fix this issue or actually provide us with concrete information. If you have intentionally downgraded the service, and this is what it is now supposed to be, just say that instead of essentially lying to your customers. It has already gotten beyond ridiculous, and this experience enough is enough to warrant dropping this service altogether.

The marked solution will be removed when we get the chance. I know we have stated many times it is being worked on and we don't say that just to say it. We have our team looking into it every day to come up with a fix. I have been told it is not an easy fix, but I assure you we are working on it.

@XfinityEthan Then can you PLEASE have employees stop responding to posts like this? This thread is full of contradictory information, and as recent as 5 hours ago on a 3 week old thread, you have Amir in here again questioning the user's connection when it has been very well established that it is a Comcast issue and you say that its being worked on. Why doesn't Amir know that so they can respond accordingly with accurate information? It sends all sorts of mixed messages and makes it seem like you guys have no clue what's going on.

I will do my best to clear it up. We have multiple issues going on with Stream and it seems they are getting clumped together. I am still monitoring the issue for any updates.
