Keep getting logged out of Xfinity stream
I've been trying to watch TV tonight through Xfinity Stream in my web browser. I log in, start watching a show, and about 5 minutes later, the page refreshes and logs me out—even though I selected “Keep me signed in” at login.
When I try to log back in, I get the error message:
“The Xfinity ID you entered was incorrect. Please try again.”
I'm using the exact same credentials I was just logged in with.
This happens on both:
Chrome Version 136.0.7103.114
Firefox Version 138.0.4 (64-bit)
In Chrome, I cleared my history and cache. Firefox was just freshly installed. The issue happens regardless. I’ve also disabled uBlock Origin for Xfinity.com in case it was interfering.
Given this, I don’t believe the issue is on my end—it seems like a session or authentication issue on Xfinity’s side. It's frustrating to get kicked out every 5–10 minutes and then be locked out entirely by a bad login error.
Also, if I can log in and post here on the forums, that clearly means my credentials are valid.
Can someone from Xfinity please look into this? I’d appreciate any help or a confirmation that this is being investigated.

I have been having this same exact issue for the past 2 weeks, so I do feel your pain.
I have tried 4 different browsers', so I don't think it's a browser issue.
The deletion of cash and cookies does not help my issue either.
I have been unable to watch anything as I get logged out at random times and can't log back in because my username isn't recognized.
And now, my password isn't being recognized, so that's something new I've been experiencing.
I have seen other Comcast customers posting about this problem as well.
I feel like the issue is on Comcast's end and not with any of my hardware or software.
I hope there is a fix for this issue.

Thanks for sharing, and sorry to hear you’ve been going through this too. I’ve seen this issue on and off before as well, but tonight it’s been constant and much worse than usual.
Given that you've tested across four different browsers and still run into the same problem (even after clearing cache and cookies), I agree—it strongly points to an issue on Xfinity’s backend rather than anything on our end.
I've seen a few other users mention this recently too across different platforms, so it’s definitely not isolated. Hopefully Xfinity acknowledges it soon and gets a proper fix rolled out.
If anyone else is running into the same issue, please chime in here—more visibility might help push this up the chain faster.

I too have been having this problem for a couple of weeks, and it seems to be getting worse. I use the Opera browser on Windows 11. The problem is absolutely not on my end. I'm having flashbacks to AOL dial-up in the 90s. When someone at Comcast gets tired of trying to make their customers feel responsible for the problem and concentrate that they are causing the problem, maybe the situation will get fixed. It's so annoying that I am on the verge of cancelling the whole thing. P.S. I think the guy in the commercial doing those cringy dance moves might be responsible.

I'm having the same exact problem. It's especially frustrating when I'm watching the local news and need to hear what's going on with the weather. We pay all this money for a service and it's horrific.
