Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us through our Xfinity Community Support forums. Could you please provide a couple examples of movies you are attempting to watch along with any error code/messages you are receiving? We hope to hear from you soon.
The situation is in “Free movies without ads”. When a movie is selected there is a large white rectangle with the word “Play” in it. Or in many cases this rectangle with play in it is not showing. So you have to hunt around for something available. In the last couple of weeks we have been able to select movies from HBO to watch and some we were going to watch.
These movies had “available until” dates a month or two in the future. Well that’s not true. I had not finished watching Sleepless in Seattle and it was removed the next day. As of today I’m seeing available movies mostly limited to Epix channel. And the recently watched information has removed the movies we watched like Absolute Power.
I’d like to know if Comcast Xfinity stream is going to limit us to second rate movies from Epix.
I also want to know why Xfinity offers movies to watch and then backpedals and takes them away. Like everyone else using Xfinity we deserve much better treatment than this.
Hmmmm. We can take a closer look at this for you. So that we can get started, please feel free to shoot us a private message with your full name and service address.
To send a "direct message" / "private message" message to Xfinity Support:
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
• - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
