Golf Channel choppy on Apple TV

For some reason, only the Golf Channel has quality issues when viewing on the Stream App on Apple TV. The visual is very choppy and the audio lags behind. No buffering, just a poor feed.

All other channels work fine, and on iOS the channel works fine.

Also, wish there was a way to submit in-app feedback. Not easy to report a bug/issue directly for to the developer.

Yes, have tried on phone iOS and it streams fine.

So I have the same exact problem when using the Xfinity Stream App on Apple TV. But when I stream on my phone using the Xfinity Stream App; it’s fine.

But interestingly enough when I use Airplay to display on my TV (using Apple TV) the same problem appears.


Makes me think its an Apple TV thing but its odd that its just the golf channel.

That’s definitely strange, especially since it only happens on the Golf Channel and only when using Apple TV. Since the Xfinity Stream app works fine on your phone, but the issue appears when AirPlaying or using the app directly on Apple TV, it does seem like something specific to the Apple TV platform.


A few things to try:


- Restart your Apple TV – Sometimes a simple reboot can clear up streaming issues.
- Check for updates – Make sure both your Apple TV OS and the Xfinity Stream app are fully updated.
- Try a different network connection – If possible, test on another Wi-Fi network or try a wired connection to see if it makes a difference.
- Reinstall the app – Uninstalling and reinstalling the Xfinity Stream app can sometimes resolve odd playback issues.

 

Since it’s only happening on the Golf Channel, it could also be a feed-specific issue on Apple TV. If you’re still seeing the same problem after trying these steps, let us know—we can look into it further!
